Weekend trip

I was glad to see the positive feedback from my last blog. It was very encouraging. I love writing, so this gives me more motive for writing and sharing my work. This past weekend we visited my in laws house out in the country. It was about a 5 hour drive from Gimhae (the town I live in) to their town. It's a quaint town with a small population, very quiet. You definitely need a car to get around. The town is surrounded by the ocean.  The scenery is pretty, the sun glistens off the back of the blue ocean water. The air is fresh and pure. We spent the night there. I'll admit after a few hours I was feeling bored. There isn't much to do there. The next morning we visited my parents in law Kingdom Hall. Their congregation is made up of 26 publishers and their territory covers about 4-5 towns. The friends are very kind and humble. I felt a difference in attitude with country people compared to city people. They were very humble and down to earth. It was refreshing to not have so many people stare at me just because I'm a foreigner. I made a small comment at the meeting that my husband prepared for me on the spot. (He wanted me to make a comment 😆😆) After that we had lunch and then went on a mini field trip around the town. We saw the ocean, which is pretty but you can't swim in it. It's very muddy. We came back home on Sunday evening. So that was my weekend :) Talk to you until my next post... which will be coming soon..😉

A new chapter... Married and moved

I don't know where to begin. So many things have happened these past years. I think it all started about 2015 when I decided to travel to South Korea. Or maybe before that when I moved back to Florida after living in Ecuador. But I'll get to that another time. Now I'm a married woman. Almost for one month. We got married November 26th. It was such a happy day 💜😃. Now I'm living in South Korea. We're serving together in an English group. I've made many friends here and special memories that I'll treasure forever and that have also changed me. And I'm really happy with my new husband who's also my best friend. But despite all of the happiness it doesn't come without its difficulties. Sometimes I miss home and my mom and friends. I miss being in a place where I know the language and exactly what to do and how and where to go. The food sometimes too. Serving in a group in a foreign country can be challenging too at times. Sometimes I feel sad, or homesick. And I feel like maybe I'm not doing enough or a good job. But thankfully I have a supportive husband who always sticks by my side and of course Jehovah. And I've made nice friends. That's also why I like writing too. It's my way of letting my mind and thoughts flow freely, be creative and share things with others. So this is my first blog. I hope you enjoy. I will try my best to keep it as up to date as possible. Till next time.
